New Bethel Cemetery

New Bethel Church Cemetary located in Albany Township in northern Berks County is without a doubt the most active haunting in Berks County. It is the final resting place of America's first documented serial killer, Mathius Schambach, it is estimated that he murdered between 30 and 40 people in his Hawk Mountain Inn and he is believed to haunt the cemetary. If you pass the cemetery between ten and two at night, it's said that you will see his ghost.
